dianeboyVolunteers work every day delivering the five promises to Lakewood’s youth. Volunteering is fun and rewarding and truly makes a difference both now and in the future. It doesn’t matter where you volunteer – using your time and talents is your choice. What matters most is that you have chosen to make a positive difference in a child’s life – something only you can do.

Lakewood’s Promise has no “programs” of its own. Our purpose is to be aware of the wonderful programs going on in Lakewood that deliver the five promises and to energetically support the host agencies in their efforts. Each agency recruits their own volunteers and has their own systems for doing so. Most will require a background check and references – especially if you will be working directly with children.

The form below is a quick and easy way to get started – putting the “ball in their court”. Fill out the form and choose what agencies to send it to. They will get in touch with you or send you more information about their volunteer opportunities and what steps are required.
