St. Joseph – St John Episcopal Church offers a Music Education Program for children and families, providing a safe and sane learning diversion to busy young minds and bodies.
Starting Monday, January 25 (at 5 pm), a Master Craftsman from the congregation will teach guitar construction to interested youth. Contact the church for more information of either program.

Bridges, a center for grieving children is seeking compassionate individuals to join their facilitator team. There is no need to be an expert in grief or children. All you need is a desire to learn about the unique grief process of children and teens, courage to examine your own grief journey, curiosity, a little creativity, interest in play (the work of children!), and compassion. The training includes one Friday evening (Jan. 29th ) and five full Saturdays (Jan. 30th, Feb. 6th, Feb 20th, Feb 27th and March 6th ), totaling 32 hours. South Sound College Fair. Deciding which college to attend is easier when you can find out about most Puget Sound colleges and universities in one place, on the same day. The 2010 South Sound College Fair for Saturday, Jan. 30, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., brings 26 institutions together so anyone interested can find out about associate, bachelor’s or master’s degrees, as well as certificate and continuing education programs.
The event will be held at the University of Washington Tacoma in Philip Hall. Representatives from the schools listed below will be on hand to answer questions and provide information. The fair includes public and private universities, as well as community and technical colleges. Admission is free, and free parking is available at the Tacoma Dome transit station. The brief ride on the Link from the Dome station to UW Tacoma is also free. Experts will be available to answer questions about financial aid, and the UW Tacoma Teaching and Learning Center will provide writing tips for admission essays.
